I/O Block Reference


xPC Target provides support for I/O boards and fieldbuses using common PC hardware. This book includes the following chapters:
Hardware Board Manufacturers
View a list of I/O boards supported by xPC Target for each manufacture
RS232 I/O Support
Interface the target PC to an RS-232 device using either the COM1 or COM2 port.
GPIB I/O Support
Interfaces the target PC to a GPIB instrument bus using an external GPIB controller from National Instruments.
CAN I/O Support
Connect a target PC to a CAN network using CAN driver blocks running in Dynamic Object Buffer (DOB) mode
CAN I/O Support for FIFO
Alternatively, connect a target PC to a CAN network using CAN driver blocks running in First In First Out (FIFO) mode.
UDP I/O Support
Communicate with another system using User Datagram Protocol (UDP) packets.
Miscellaneous I/O Blocks
Add blocks for signal tracing, interfacing to GUI applications, reading and writing directly to I/O addresses, and reading the run time of the xPC Target kernel or your target applicaiton
