Known Software and Documentation Problems

This section includes a link to a description of known software and documentation problems in Version 1.1.

Platform Limitations

SimMechanics has some platform limitations.

Virtual XWindows Servers

Virtual XWindows servers, such as Xoftware, are not supported in the MATLAB environment and do not function well with SimMechanics and other MATLAB Java-based applications.

Virtual Reality Toolbox Viewers

Changing Block Properties

You should not change SimMechanics block properties at the command line.

Configurable Subsystems Not Supported

Simulink configurable subsystems do not function if the configurable subsystem library has SimMechanics blocks.

Currently Unsupported Simulink Features and Tools

Certain Simulink features and tools are currently not functioning with SimMechanics blocks or SimMechanics models.

Currently Incompatible Toolboxes and Blocksets

SimMechanics is currently incompatible with Nonlinear Control Design Blockset.

Virtual Reality Visualization

The presentations of virtual reality visualization in the SimMechanics User's Guide assume that you are using the blaxxun Contact 4.4 plugin viewer for Web browsers. Consult the Virtual Reality Toolbox User's Guide for instructions on using the new default viewer.
