Viewing the License Manager Log File
The file /var/tmp/lm_TMW.log
contains a log of all license activity. The license manager appends a new entry to the log each time a license transaction occurs. To save file space, occasionally delete information from the file.
You can view the file with the command lmstart -e
, or use the UNIX cat
command. (You can also use the lmstart
command to change the default directory where the log file is stored.) For help interpreting error messages and suggested remedies to common errors, refer to the section License Manager Error Messages.
Correcting License File Problems
If an error message in the log file indicates that the problem is caused by mistakes in your License File, verify that all the features and keys for which you are licensed are recognized by the license manager. To do this, look at the output of the lmstat -a
command. Make any changes necessary to the License File and restart the daemons by running lmstart
.
