Description

The Sign block indicates the sign of the input:

• The output is 1 when the input is greater than zero.
• The output is 0 when the input is equal to zero.
• The output is -1 when the input is less than zero.

Data Type Support

The Sign block accepts signals of any data type, including fixed-point data types. The output is a signed data type with the same number of bits as the input, and with nominal scaling (a slope of one and a bias of zero).
