Analysis

The Analysis GUI is briefly described below.

• Fit to analyze -- Select the fit you want to analyze.
• Analyze at Xi -- Select the predictor data range over which the analysis is performed. You can specify a MATLAB variable containing the range provided the variable name does not contain numbers. For example, x is a valid variable name but x1 is not.
• Evaluate fit at Xi -- Evaluate the fit. Depending on Xi, interpolation or extrapolation is performed.
• Prediction bounds

• None -- No bounds are calculated.

  For function -- The bounds measure the uncertainty in estimating the function (fit).

  For new observation -- The bounds measure the uncertainty in predicting a new response value (the fit plus random noise).

• Level -- Bounds level as a percent. The default is 95%.
• 1st derivative at Xi -- Calculate the first derivative.
• 2nd derivative at Xi -- Calculate the second derivative.
• Integrate to Xi -- Integrate the fit. You must select a starting point for the integration. The starting point does not have to be an element of Xi.
• Start from min(Xi) -- Start integrating from the minimum predictor value.
• Start from -- Start integrating from the specified value.
• Plot results -- Plot the analysis results. A separate plot is created for each type of analysis.
• Plot data set -- Plot the specified data set.
