Running the Convolutional Code Model

When you run the model, you observe an error rate of approximately .003.

You can compare this model with the one shown in the figure Cyclic Code Model. To do so, change the Es/No parameter in the AWGN channel block to 4.2, so that the two models have the same amount of channel noise. Now when you run the convolutional code model, the error rate is 0.
