Reducing the Error Rate Using a Hamming Code

This section describes how to reduce the error rate in the model shown in the figure Channel Noise Model by adding an error-correcting code. The following figure shows an example that uses a Hamming code.

• Build the model
• Use the Hamming Encoder and Decoder blocks
• Set parameters in the model
• Label the Display block
• Run the model
• Display frame sizes
• Add a scope to the model
• Set parameters in the new model
• Observe channel errors with the scope
