Compiler Requirements

Because not all compilers are capable of producing Microsoft-compatible COM objects, COM Builder supports only these compiler choices:

• Borland C++ Builder 4
• Borland C++ Builder 5
• Borland C++ Builder 6
• Microsoft Visual Studio 5.0
• Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0
• Microsoft Visual Studio .NET

After installing COM Builder, you must run the MATLAB Compiler mbuild tool with the -setup argument. You can find information about mbuild in the MATLAB Compiler User's Guide in the section Building Stand-Alone Applications on PCs." You also need to run the MATLAB command mccsavepath one time to set up the MATLAB Compiler search path. Type help mccsavepath at the MATLAB command line for a description of this command.
