Packaging the Component

As a final step, package the magicdemo component and all supporting libraries into a self-extracting executable. You can now install this package, along with the magic.exe application, onto other computers. To package the component, follow these steps:

1. Return to comtool. If comtool has been dismissed, start it again and reload the magicdemo project.
2. Select Component->Package Component. This command creates the magicdemo.exe self-extracting executable.

To install this component onto another computer, copy the magicdemo.exe package and the magic.exe application to that machine, run magicdemo.exe from a command prompt, and follow the instructions.
